Your starting calorie intake are calculated based on your height, weight, daily activity, activity in sports, and your previous diet history.
Your continuing calories in the weekly check-ins are calculated based on the following factors:
- your weight development,
- your hunger level,
- your digestion,
- your hormonal status (periods for women),
- adherence, and
- your stress level.
The following additional factors, which may have a significant short-term effect on your weight, are also taken into account:
- Salt intake
- Carbohydrate intake
- Fiber intake
- Weighing time
When you subscribe to The Art of Health app, you will find a detailed description of all goals so that you can choose the one that suits you best. You can also find my destination guide freebie here.
If you no longer get your period (and are not taking hormones) or if it is irregular, the fat loss goal will be blocked. In the case of hypothalamic amenorrhea, a calorie deficit is harmful to your health.
You will not be personally supervised by a coach. The app works with the help of an algorithm personally created by me, Marie Steffen. This is based on scientifically based formulas and empirical values that my coaches and I have successfully applied for years with our clients. The Art of Health app is your own personal digital coach and calculates all data and recommendations based on your individual weekly data.

Your data is stored locally on your smartphone. You can find more information about your data in the privacy policy.
Unfortunately, you cannot track calories within The Art of Health app. For tracking calories, for example, you can use apps like MyFitnessPal or Lifesum.
